With New Eyes: Developing the Inner Observer

Topic
The spiritual path requires that we become conscious, that we “wake up” and see with new eyes. This waking up involves developing an Inner Observer, or Silent Witness, which helps us notice when we are getting off center and reacting rather than responding. In this workshop you will learn three of the most important things to observe about your behavior – what the Enneagram calls: the Passions, The Focus of Attention, and The Defense Mechanism. Increasing our self- observation in these areas can lead to a path of transformation.

Presenter

Rev. Martie McMane

PRESENTER BIO:   Rev. Martie McMane holds advanced certification in teaching the Enneagram and has introduced over 1,000 people to Enneagram at workshops, seminars, and retreats throughout the country. In Colorado she teaches the Enneagram for the Benet Hill Spiritual Direction program and has also offered workshops through the Contemplative Beehive. As the Senior Minister of First Congregational Church, Boulder, she is most interested in how the Enneagram can help deepen our consciousness and awaken us to spiritual transformation.
