  • 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Creative Life Center at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, 7520 South Boulder Road, Boulder, CO

A Contemplative Art Experience –
Invite the artwork and life of Georgia O’Keeffe to light you up, infusing new ideas and excitement into your personal expression.
You will emerge from this experiential program with
  • Inspiration from Georgia O’Keeffe’s art and creative life
  • Drawings of your personal expression
  • Understanding of how to add meditation/contemplation into your creative life
Contemplative drawing with Suzanne FrazierAt the beginning of each of two drawing sessions, Suzanne will give a brief overview of Georgia O’Keeffe’s different ways of expressing herself through her paintings, followed by time for you to express your personal creativity through oil pastel drawing.

Using a meditative approach to art making, you will quickly discover you can trust your inner intuitive process to create a drawing that you had no idea you could complete when you began. There is a great deal of freedom and joy in creating a non-verbal expression.

For participants with no art-making experience, you will discover your creativity in a safe, supportive environment.  For experienced artists, you will expand your creative experience to include a meditative approach to your personal expression.

We are all creative!  The curiosity and openness of your inner child are all you need to enjoy this program.

As with all CLC programs, you will enjoy benefits to:

Self – Georgia O’Keeffe’s art is a reflection of her path in life. Be inspired to reflect your self in your personal expression.

Relationship – Owning your personal expression, creativity and otherwise, is a step towards being authentically yourself in relationship with others.

Community – Sharing your personal expression with others in this program is practice for expressing yourself in other communities.

Suzanne Frazier is a working artist with a studio in Prospect New Town where she teaches weekly art classes. She combines a BFA degree in Studio Arts from the University of Colorado with a BA degree in Philosophy from Lake Erie College to create a new approach to art making.  She has taught art retreats and workshops since 1992.
