In anticipation of SDCO’s January 2017 Conference Connie Shelley will introduce Fr. Richard Rohr's perspectives on the spiritual journey and awareness of God’s presence in the world. Connie has a unique perspective on Fr. Rohr as she was a member of the first class, 2013-2015, of The Living School for Action and Contemplation, which offers students a unique opportunity to deepen their engagement with their truest selves and with the world. Through rigorous study and contemplative practice, students embrace a rich heritage of faith from the Christian mystical tradition.
Connie is a lifelong Mennonite and a member of Sojourn Mennonite (sojournmennonite.org) in Fort Collins, CO. She received her Spiritual Formation for Spiritual Directors training through the Center for Spirituality at Work (CFSAW.org) in 2001. She has been a hospice chaplain and is currently the coordinator for the Spiritual Direction Program at Denver Women’s Prison, working through CFSAW as well as having a private practice for spiritual direction in Fort Collins.
