Why is this a fertile time for Buddhism in the West?  Before we can answer this, we need to know what Buddhism is and why there have been and are so many versions of Buddhism.  What are the core teachings and what is the difference between a Buddha and a bodhisattva?  It is said to be a non-theistic religion, but what does that mean?  And if it is, why are there so many Buddhist deities depicted in art?  How many different ways can compassion be embodied?  Please join us for a discussion between two Buddhist practitioners, followed by a docent led tour of the Buddhist artwork at the Denver Art Museum.

For this workshop, we will meet at the Denver Art Museum. There, we will have the discussion with the Buddhist practitioners and the docent-led tour.  The registration fee includes our admission to the museum and docent tour, as a group.
