In April, 2014 The Rev. Michelle Danson, an Episcopal Priest, was invited to participate as a panel member for The Contemplative Alliance, a sub group of The Global Peace Initiative of Women gathering at Naropa University in Boulder.  She was one of several spiritual leaders from different faith traditions, who had the opportunity to enter into dialogue, deep listening and contemplative practice together.

As a result of the work of this weekend, Michelle traveled to Japan in November 2014 as a representative of the Christian Contemplative Tradition to spend a week with other Spiritual leaders from a variety of traditions and geographic locations from around the globe.  It was at this time that she met Imam Jamal Rahman, a native of East Pakistan, subsequently Bangladesh, who now lives in Seattle, WA.

In lively conversation with him she quickly discovered that Jamal was part of The Interfaith Amigos (comprised of a Rabbi, an Imam, and a Christian Minister), who came together in response to the violence and aftershock of 9/11.  Upon returning to The United States, Michelle and Jamal stayed in touch.  Join us as Michelle will share her knowledge of the Imam Rahman and The Interfaith Amigos in anticipation of the 2018 SDCO Conference, which will feature the Amigos.

Cost: $20
