Walking together we will experience a retreat-like morning with contemplative soul expanding activities that will prompt us to deepen self-awareness and connection. We will connect with the Earth to explore our own inner landscape as it mirrors the Sacred in nature and in our own communities. Together we will experience walking as a spiritual practice through the lens of various spiritual paths.
This will be an opportunity for 20 people to experience a 2-hour walk with our guide, Maria Rosa Galter. During the last hour, Maria will teach us how to create a walk for others and ourselves. You will learn how to become part of the Walk2Connect community and gain confidence to start your own contemplative walks in your communities. If you like, bring a sack lunch for the last half hour and enjoy a meal with fellow walkers.
The specific locations to meet will be announced closer to the time of the walk. All trails will be handicapped accessible.
"Holy persons draw to themselves all that is earthly. . . .
The earth is at the same time mother,
She is mother of all that is natural,
mother of all that is human.
She is the mother of all,
for contained in her
are the seeds of all."
--Hildegard of Bingen
Maria Rosa Galter, a Walk2Connect Member-Owner and founder of EPIC Life Walks, invites you to experience the benefits of expansive, playful, intentional, and creative contemplative walking retreats at 2-3 MPH. Maria, a student at Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program and graduate of the Bovine Metropolis Theater School of Improv, is an avid hiker who loves to correlate improv, life, and spirituality. She explores those spaces in her organization, EPIC Life Walks in order to re”member” ourselves and be present to ourselves, each other, and our world of transcendent beauty. We become aware of the Source of all Life that flows into our being. Our hearts unlock so we can freely play in the vast goodness of the Creator’s universe. We were created to awaken and live with joyful abandon, connected to the exuberance of love, beauty, kindness, and abundance.
