Many people struggle with spiritual and moral injuries, which can include struggles with God, religious doubts, places of worship, and moral issues over harming or being harmed by others. Men and women have been wounded by the church they grew up or in the church they later chose as an adult. Spiritual wounds can leave scars, deep relational pain and suffering carried for decades. Wounded souls are often kept private, because of guilt or shame, and fears of being judged by others. Our moral actions and those of others against us sometimes have harmful outcomes and contribute to spiritual, emotional and physical symptoms that disconnect our souls from the Divine. This workshop is rooted in the work of Dr. Larry Kent Graham, Dr. Carrie Doehring and Ken Pargament to discover how spiritual wounds can lead to growth and wholeness, making people more resilient in the face of stress and injury. Strategies and spiritual practices for healing and resiliency involve life-giving ways to make changes that alleviate moral stress, spiritual injury, and restore wounded souls. Facilitated by Katherine Flahive.
