Equipping people to be free, connected and engaged by building the capacity for companionship to create a compassionate world.
Wed, May 16, 2012, 4–6:15 p.m. (networking, fellowship, and refreshments, 3:30–4 p.m.) Cost: $15 to $35, as you are able)
Topic The compassionate observer is a place within all of us that is able to view the world, others and our selves with compassion. Through simple imaginative and movement experiences we will discover that heart space that allows the compassion of God to flow through us. We will apply our personal experience to the areas of formation, supervision, and discernment.
Presenter Rev. Jane E. Vennard was called to a ministry of teaching and spiritual direction and ordained by the United Church of Christ. She is a spiritual director, international retreat leader, e-retreat facilitator for www.spiritualityandpractice.org, and author of six books and has served on the faculty of Iliff School of Theology. She presented a version of this workshop in Atlanta for SDI in 2011.
