Transitions: “Don’t get over it, go through it” with Julie Lupien

Thurs, Aug 16, 2012, 4–6:15 p.m. (networking, fellowship, and refreshments, 3:30–4 p.m.) Cost: $15 to $35, as you are able)

Topic    Life is full of transitions and change. Most people dread change and try to avoid it. Transitions are not easy. Understanding the transition process can transform this time into the natural part of life that it is, filled with a mixture of challenges and gifts. This session will focus on how to move through transition in a healthy way, for both spiritual guide and companion. This includes dealing with endings and grief, honoring what has been, dealing with the “in-between” time and renewing your sense of purpose.

Presenter  Julie Lupien is director of From Mission to Mission, a resource for mission and transition. FMTM offers programs for those preparing for and returning from service in another culture, as well as programs for those dealing with life transitions. Julie has served in Zimbabwe and St. Kitts, as a Campus Minister at Northern Illinois University and a Pastoral Minister at Spirit of Peace Catholic Community in Longmont.
