Contemplation and Creativity: Nurturing the Gift with JoAnn Evans and Donna Contreraz-Wetherbee

Tue, Nov 13, 2012, 4–6:15 p.m. (networking, fellowship, and refreshments, 3:30–4 p.m.) Cost: $15 to $35, as you are able)

JoAnn Evans (left) and Donna Contreraz-Wetherbee (right) will guide you through a project of contemplation and creativity resulting in the art of prayer and insight. You will be guided on a spiritual creation, bringing together your creative soul and your inner monk. The focus will be on a chapter from Christine Valters Paintner’s book The Artist’s Rule. (Christine will be the honored speaker at the Spiritual Direction Colorado’s annual conference in January 11-12, 2013.)

JoAnn Evans and Donna Contreraz-Wetherbee have several things in common—both are Colorado natives, spiritual directors and graduates of the Benet Hill Spiritual Formation Program. They are both Episcopalian, hold masters degrees and practice contemplative living. JoAnn has completed the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, served on a mission team in the Dominican Republic, and she and her husband are parents of five children and eight grandchildren. Donna recently became a Benedictine Oblate, and is a volunteer with the Native American Cancer Research Co. Donna and her husband Greg have a daughter and son-in-law.
